These laboratories are committed to increasing the number of high schoolers who are exposed to a research laboratory environment and have proven to be extremely welcoming to all interested individuals.
The Kelly Laboratory at UW
The focus of the Kelly Laboratory centers around bodily responses to foreign substances and their metabolism.

With a focus on a wide variety of diseases and areas, the Bio-Molecular Imaging Center aims to develop new imaging techniques that have anatomic, functional, tissue, and molecular applications.

Boeing Advanced Research Center at UW
Funded by Boeing, the Boeing Advanced Research Center (BARC) focuses on aerospace manufacturing. Their main work surrounds developing innovative solutions for the factory floor and addressing the challenges and opportunities of aircraft manufacturing.

Spatial Biology Laboratory at UW

The Spatial Biology Lab at the University of Washington uses spatial profiling to explore human tissue. This complex technique allows researchers at the laboratory to explore gene expression throughout different areas of the body. Exploring specific proteins allows the lab to make many discoveries that have the potential to greatly benefit public health.

UW Biorepository and Integrated Neuropathology (BRaIN) Laboratory
The UW Biorepository and Integrated Neuropathology Laboratory is currently working to understand normal brain anatomy and function and how this changes in injury and disease, such as Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), and others. The lab has the goal to develop novel treatments to help those currently suffering from neurodegenerative diseases.
